ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services of Guildford have gone from strength to strength in the last 23 months, growing by 500k. The Managing Director, Siva Kugathas has awarded some of his staff for their hard work in accordance with the company’s success.

Siva decided to have an awards evening on 30th November 2018 and hosted it in The Shard, Central London. All that made an appearance, including brand manager Guy Strang, said how enjoyable the evening was.

ServiceMaster Clean, Swansea & South West Wales scooped the North Star Growth Award, as well as the North Star Customer Service Award at the 2017 national conference for ServiceMaster limited held in June.

ServiceMaster Clean Swansea provides commercial cleaning services for doctor surgeries, veterinary practices, car showrooms, sport stadiums, offices, factories and schoolsthroughout Swansea, CarmarthenNeathPort TalbotBridgend, Llanelli, Merthyr Tydfil and Pembrokeshire.

The company, owned by Jayne & Paul Gethin,is a franchise of ServiceMaster Limited and has had a steady growth rate for a number of years now. This is the second year they have taken both the growth and customer service award and believe winning these awards togetherdemonstrates the right mix within the business.

Congratulations to all of the award winners.

An experienced father, mother and son team have launched their own cleaning company to serve commercial customers across North London.

Originally from Ecuador, Rene Vaca, Emma Gavilanes and Erik Vaca now of Stratford have over 40 years cleaning management experience between them and chose to set up their new ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services business, with Erik (18) taking the lead.

Their new business ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services is a franchise of ServiceMaster, one of the UK’s leading and longest-established, multi-brand franchisors.

 

Erik said: “I’ve worked in the cleaning sector for a couple of years and progressed quickly so as a family, we decided to launch our own business. My parents will be there for support but the main responsibility is on me to make this a success.”

Emma added: “I’m so proud of Erik for his hard work to save up every penny to invest in his ServiceMaster Clean franchise. He is focused, ready to go and I know he’ll be climbing the franchise leader board in no time at all.”

Local businessman Chris Blewitt has launched a commercial office cleaning franchise business operating across Durham and Teesside and is already looking for new staff to join the new venture.

No stranger to cleaning, Chris’s family owned and operated a successful Dry Cleaning and Laundry business in the North East for over 30 years and Chris has spent over 25 years in operational roles for successful blue-chip organisations, managing large teams of people.

A local entrepreneurial family has reinvested into their growing business and expanded their office cleaning franchise into Birmingham and Coventry.

ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Mercia (CS Mercia), which is owned and operated by Kevin and Joanne Harden and son, Mark, launched in 2009 and has seen the business grow by 300% in the last five years due to a high demand for its services. The company employs over 170 staff to provide daily office, industrial and education cleaning services in major towns, such as Tamworth, Burton upon Trent, Loughborough, Rugby and Lutterworth and has now expanded to operate in the cities of Birmingham and Coventry.

Kevin Harden, managing director, CS Mercia said: “With major investments being made into Birmingham, such as HS2 and the Curzon Street regeneration, now is the ideal time to launch into these major UK cities on our border. We’re excited by the opportunity to expand our business and create new jobs in the areas.”

A local entrepreneur has invested in and taken ownership of a Guildford-based commercial cleaning franchise and aims to create new employment opportunities as the business expands.

Siva Kugathas (43), of Sutton, spent 20 years working in senior franchise roles, for both Pizza Hut and KFC in both the UK and Europe before choosing to invest in the Guildford-based, commercial cleaning franchise, ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services (CS Guildford). Siva was responsible for creating KFC’s UK Operations Service Manual and achieved the Restaurant Manager of the Year award in 1997.

CS Guildford currently turns over £138,000 and employs 30 staff but Siva aims to double this size of the company and his over the next 18 months. The company provides daily office and commercial cleaning services to businesses across the region and is part of the ServiceMaster franchise network, which has been trading in the UK since 1959.
