Though it is behind us now, 2021 was difficult for people and businesses worldwide. During these uncertain times, ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services have stayed committed to supporting our staff through the challenges of the last year. Behind every successful franchise network is a team of staff who work tirelessly to make sure that our services are the best that they can possibly be. Working to maintain a successful network means working hard to make sure to cultivate a positive environment and improve staff satisfaction levels and retention. We pride ourselves in our ability to do this, even in an industry like contract cleaning services where this is usually difficult.

It doesn’t take much, and can just be in the little things. For example, before Christmas last year, ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Swansea continued its annual tradition of hand delivering a box of chocolates to each of its 250 staff members at their place of work. This was a small token of appreciation for its staff for their work throughout the year, and to wish them a Merry Christmas. However, due to the pandemic and Swansea’s ever-growing staff, the team decided to go the extra mile and do things a little differently and sent every member of staff a ServiceMaster branded chocolate bar in the post. But that wasn’t all, just like Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a select number of these chocolates had a winning raffle ticket inside that had a combined value of over £450.00! The lucky member of staff just had to call into the office and quote the code on the ticket.

One of the winners decided to spend her winnings on extra physio for her grandson, another decided to finish off her Christmas shopping, and another waited for her son to arrive home before opening the chocolate (as he is a Charlie in the Chocolate Factory Fan) and was delighted to find a winning ticket.

The top winner was Carly Morris who works in a Sports Centre and a Doctor Surgery in Neath, and she was kind enough to send the below photo.

ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Swansea’s staff were overjoyed by this gesture, and the branch are looking forward to doing the same in December of this year.
